MAKITA RELEASES NEW OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT ACCESSORIES FOR ARBORISTS

New saw chain and guide bar for use in cutting, pruning, and limbing applications

October 7, 2025, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high-quality professional tools, power equipment, and accessories, has released two new outdoor power equipment accessories that are ideal for arborists to use in cutting, pruning, and limbing applications.

"The 8-inch bar and chain extend the precision and versatility of the Makita XAU03 Pole Saw, giving landscapers and tree care professionals a compact solution for tight-access cuts,” said Stevan Garcia, senior product manager, outdoor power equipment, Makita U.S.A., Inc. “With additional compatibility across select LXT® tools, this setup expands the options for professionals who demand performance, efficiency, and the flexibility of one cordless system."

The new accessories are part of Makita’s expansive line of battery powered outdoor power equipment that span across three systems: 40V | 80V max XGT®, 40V max ConnectX, and 18V | 36V LXT®. The line includes solutions for commercial mowing, cutting, trimming, and clean-ups as well as over 20 commercial chain saws, and pole saws.

8” Saw Chain

The Makita 8" Saw Chain, .325" LP, .043", 38, Low Kickback (T-07836) is engineered for premium performance when used with select Makita battery powered saws. The T-07836 features an 80TXL chain style with a .325" low profile pitch, .043" gauge, and low kickback design. The 8” Saw Chain features up to 25% more cuts on a single battery charge than 3/8” Low Profile pitch, .043” gauge 90PX chain. The T-07836 features a Low Profile chain for increased cutting efficiency, and low kickback in accordance with ANSI B175.1 standard.

8" Guide Bar

The Makita 8" Guide Bar (T-07842) is engineered for premium performance when used with select Makita battery powered saws. The T-07842 features a laminated body and is a commercial guide bar. The 8” Guide Bar features a slim contour design for less weight and increased maneuverability. The small radius sprocket nose reduces potential for kickback compared to standard-size noses. The T-07842 is ideal for use with low profile chains for increased efficiency. The 8" length is for use with 38 drive link chain.
