MAKITA RELEASES NEW COMPACT WET/DRY VAC ON THE XGT® PLATFORM

New 2-gallon vacuum is a portable solution for janitorial, industrial cleaning, dust management and more

Makita has released the new 40V max XGT® 2 Gallon HEPA Filter Portable Wet/Dry Dust Extractor/Vacuum (GCV14), which is a compact Wet/Dry Handheld Canister Vacuum/Dust Extractor for janitorial and industrial construction cleaning and dust management.

November 4, 2025, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high-quality professional tools, power equipment, and accessories, has released the new 40V max XGT® 2 Gallon HEPA Filter Portable Wet/Dry Dust Extractor/Vacuum (GCV14), which is a compact Wet/Dry Handheld Canister Vacuum/Dust Extractor for janitorial and industrial construction cleaning and dust management.

More Suction Power
The new Dust Extractor/Vacuum features over 75% more suction power with 102 CFM, 60" water lift, and up to 60% lower noise than the 18V LXT® Wet/Dry Dust Extractor/Vacuum (XCV11) . The Vacuum delivers over 3 hours of continuous run time on Low and delivers up to 35 minutes on High when running one XGT® 40V 8.0Ah battery (BL4080F, sold separately).
 
Accessories
The GCV14 includes additional accessories for efficient cleaning, including the Wet Filter (1915T4-4), a Paper Filter Bag Set, 10-pack (1915W3-3), a Shoulder Strap (199486-4), and a 7" Black Crevice Nozzle (4132U6-2). Also available (but sold separately) is the Caster Wheel Set (4) (1915G5-1) which allows the GCV14 to be rolled around the floor for maximum convenience.
 
Convenience Features
Convenience features include a handle on top of the tool that stores out of the way and provides increased comfort during transport, an on-board hose and nozzle storage allow for easy and convenient transport, as well as a quick-release latch for easy removal and disposal of debris from canister. It also features integrated tethering hooks for increased portability with shoulder strap included (part no.199486-4) for convenient carrying.
