MAKITA RELEASES NEW 4-SPEED IMPACT DRIVER FOR THE XGT® PLATFORM

New high-torque tool gives the user a compact size with high fastening power

Makita has released the new 40V max XGT® 4-Speed Impact Driver (GDT04), giving the user compact fastening power while delivering up to 2,040 in.lbs. of max torque with 4 Speed Settings and Tightening Mode.

November 4, 2025, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high-quality professional tools, power equipment, and accessories, has released the new 40V max XGT® 4-Speed Impact Driver (GDT04), giving the user compact fastening power, while delivering up to 2,040 in.lbs. of max torque with 4 Speed Settings and Tightening Mode.

The new 40V max XGT® 4-Speed Impact Driver (GDT04) gives the user compact fastening power, while delivering up to 2,040 in.lbs. of max torque with 4 Speed Settings and Tightening Mode, allowing it to outpower similar models in heavy load applications. It features digitally controlled modes for a wide variety of applications, including speed control and tightening modes to prevent sheet metal screw stripping.
Convenience Features
Convenience features include built-in L.E.D. light that help eliminate shadows and illuminate a larger area, a length of only 5-3/8" making it ideal for working in tight spaces, and a weight of only 4.0 lbs with battery for reduced operator fatigue.
