MAKITA LIGHTS UP WORLD OF CONCRETE 2025 WITH NEW PRODUCTS, DYNAMIC HANDS-ON DEMOS, AND MORE

Makita’s outdoor booth drew heavy traffic with contractors trying out solutions for concrete, formwork and storage, as well as the world’s first 40V max 16-gauge rebar tying tool

The Makita booth offered WOC attendees the opportunity to experience more solutions for nearly every stage in concrete construction.

January 27, 2025, Las Vegas, NV – Makita® U.S.A., Inc., the innovation leader in cordless tools, power equipment and accessories, drew heavy traffic at World of Concrete 2025 in Las Vegas last week with an expansive and interactive booth featuring several tons of concrete, 16 demo stations featuring new and recent releases, a display showcasing the Makita® edition Can-Am outfitted with a full MAKTRAK™ Modular Storage System, and much more.

Attendees from across the concrete trades were the first to see the 40V max XGT® 16 ga. Rebar Tying Tool, a world’s first. Other highlights included the new MAKTRAK™ Modular Storage System and the new 40V max XGT® 4-Sp. High-Torque 1" Square Drive Impact Wrench, as well as key demo’s featuring Makita solutions in key concrete, formwork and storage applications.
 
Makita gives contractors a total solution with premium accessories for increased efficiency. Key accessories were featured including Makita Diamond Cutting Blades engineered to increase efficiency, Makita Rotary Hammer Carbide Bits and Demolition Steel for faster drilling and breaking, as well as abrasive wheels for grinders, cutting blades for circular saws, and more.

NEW 40V max XGT® 16 Ga. Rebar Tying Tool - The expanding 40V | 80V XGT® System offers more tools and equipment for concrete applications, and a key addition is the new 40V max XGT® Brushless 16 Ga. Rebar Tying Tool. It is the world’s first 40V max 16 gauge wire rebar tying tool. The GRT01 delivers up to 65% stronger ties, up to 3,600 ties per charge, and deep tying capcity (#9 x #8 rebar).

NEW MAKTRAK™ Modular Storage System - MAKTRAK™ is designed, engineered, and manufactured in the U.S.A. with global materials, and has a range of unique features including a horizontal design that redefines the category. Concrete pros can use the MAKTRAK™ system to transport, access, store, and organize larger tools (including rotary hammers, long bits, and more). The Makita booth featured a Ford F-150 truck bed so users could try out the easy load-in and load-out capabilities.

NEW 80V max (40V max X2) XGT® 70 lb. AVT® Breaker Hammer (GMH04) – WOC attendees experienced the most powerful cordless breaker in its class. The XGT model GMH04 is an 80V Breaker Hammer powered by two 40V max batteries, the same batteries that power over 125 tools and equipment in the XGT System. It delivers up to 70% faster breaking than corded, and can demolish up to an 8ft. x 6ft. x 4in. thick 5000 psi concrete slab on a single charge.

80V max (40V max X2) XGT® 28 lb. AVT® Demolition Hammer (GMH02) –The XGT® 28 lb. Breaker Hammer, model GMH02, delivers a full 27.5 Joules of impact energy. It’s also equipped with Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT®) for significantly less vibration. Users win with the power, speed and run-time of a corded model, but without the cord.

NEW 40V max XGT® 4-Sp. High-Torque 1" Sq. Drive D-Handle Extended Anvil Impact Wrench kit w/ Friction Ring (GWT10) – Get the power of a pneumatic impact wrench with the convenience of cordless. The new GWT10 delivers a full 2,950 ft.lbs. of nut-busting torque and 2,320 ft.lbs. of fastening torque, allowing it to out-power similar models in heavy load applications.
