Makita has released a new 40V max XGT® 4.0Ah High Power Battery (BL4040F) that can deliver more power, run cooler, and provide the power needed to maintain performance under continuous heavy load applications.

The new high power XGT® battery features cylindrical 21700 tabless cells that allow the flow of electricity through many paths rather than concentrating through a couple of tabs.
The new High Power Battery delivers up to 35% more power than the current 40V max XGT® 4.0ah battery (BL4040) and is engineered to run up to 32% cooler while maintaining performance under continuous heavy load.
The new BL4040F is also 34% more compact than a 40V max XGT® 5.0Ah battery. The battery reaches full charge in 45 minutes or less so users can spend more time working and less time with batteries sitting on the charger.
