MAKITA RELEASES NEW BACKPACK BLOWER AND PORTABLE BATTERY FOR THE CONNECTX™SYSTEM

Backpack blower and portable power supply give users lower noise, long run times, and zero gas hassles

November 1, 2024, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high-quality professional tools, power equipment, and accessories, has released two new options for professional landscapers looking to make the transition to cordless with the 40V max ConnectX™ Brushless Backpack Blower (CBU04Z) and the 40V max ConnectX™ 1,500Wh Portable Power Supply, Battery Only (PDC1500). The Backpack Blower and Portable Power Supply combine to give users long run times and instant connectability.

40V max ConnectX™ 1,500Wh Portable Power Supply, Battery Only (PDC1500) is engineered for longer run times delivering over 1,500-watt hours of output

All Day Run Time, High Blowing Force

The ConnectX™ Brushless Backpack Blower is engineered for longer run times and efficient cleanups. It delivers the power of 64cc gas blower with 25 Newtons of blowing power to handle heavy debris. It has a tube-mounted variable speed trigger that adjusts between 0 - 696 CFM for power and run time management. There is a cruise control lever speed lock-on variable speed trigger for comfortable continuous operation. It has a sound pressure rating of 62 dB(A); measured per ANSI B 175.2 standard.

Portable Power, Ultimate Compatibility

The Makita 40V max ConnectX™ 1,500Wh Portable Power Supply, Battery Only (PDC1500) is a high-capacity power source that delivers 1,500 watt hours of output. The 1,500Wh Portable Power Supply mounts directly onto select ConnectX™ products (sold separately) and connects to select backpack harnesses (harness sold separately). The PDC1500 provides the ultimate compatibly and can provide power to ConnectX™ power equipment as well as 40V max XGT® and LXT® 18V X2 (36V) systems (40V max XGT® and LXT® 18V X2 (36V) adapters sold separately).
